This reporter embodies all those bimbo stereotypes. And she doesn't even know what defamed means.
Should Rick Garcia have left that message in the memory book? Was it appropriate? Should Julie Staley have reacted differently? Were her actions questionable?
Posted by Misstress at June 18, 2004 08:50 AM | TrackBackAs much as I can sympathize with Garcia, I am not sure his actions were appropriate. It depends on how you view the Memory Book. For example, if Trudeau haters were to start protesting outside his house the day after he died three and a half years ago, I would say that that is inappropriate behaviour, and not just because I liked Trudeau. If you see the Memory Book as a way for Americans to pay their respects, similar to leaving flowers at a grave or standing a silent vigil like I did, then yes, his actions were inappropriate.

I'm not a journalist, but this seems a little off. And the station doesn't want in on this story? Strange. Must be controlled by Reagan/Bush supporters.
