Smoking in flicks
I don't have anything really intelligent to say, nor do I have the time to think of a thorough argument here, but trying to ban minors from seeing movies with smoking in them is making me rethink my position on other aspects of smoking.
Just to be clear, I don't like smoking at all. I think it is a filthy, selfish habit and I like the current restrictions on the practice. More on this some other time, I guess. But this is simply going too far, I think. If they really want to kids to stop smoking, perhaps they should be given actual responsibility rather than rotting away in some bullshit school. They have little else to do than to worry about "being cool". (Oh, how the 15-year-old me would react to me saying these words!) Sadly, as stated earlier, I don't have time to really get into this.
