A Michigan company instituted a policy that would fire workers for smoking.

Why just sue?! I'd go over there with a shotgun to make my point. Or better yet, send a troubled kid from Colorado to do the job for me.

Interestingly enough - this employer *CAN* do this simply based on the fact that there is no law in the state of Michigan that prevents employers from dictating its employee's off-hours lifestyle. More here: http://safety.blr.com/display.cfm/id/98203

Personally, as an ex-smoker, I think it sucks - then again, I hate when anyone tries to dictate my style of living...
