New accent syndrome
A British woman is the latest sufferer of what is known as "new accent syndrome" or "foreign accent syndrome". When she came to, she started speaking with what the people around her thought was a Jamaican accent. Imagine waking up and speaking English with an German accent! Or speaking French with an Australian accent? The neat thing is that typcially, if the people around the sufferer think that you have an X accent, X people don't hear it.
